I’m Daniel, the writer behind CYBERPVNK.
Movies have occupied far too much space in my head for most of my life. Science fiction got in deepest. I keep returning to stories about people trying to live with technology they can no longer control.
Cyberpunk sits at the center of that obsession.
More Than Neon
Blade Runner first pulled me into this world. Movies like The Terminator and The Matrix took me further. So did Alien.
These stories made me think about where humanity ends and the machine begins. That question has stayed with me.
CYBERPVNK wanders outside cyberpunk too. I write about superheroes. I revisit cult movies and older science fiction. Sometimes one strange scene is enough to send me down a rabbit hole.
I follow whatever catches my attention.
Why I Built This Site
I wanted a place where I could write honestly about the things I watch.
You will find plenty of enthusiasm here. You will also find honest criticism. A famous franchise can still make a lousy movie. A forgotten sequel can contain one brilliant idea.
Sometimes a tiny detail sticks with me more than the entire plot. It could be a strange prop or a brief look from an actor. Those details often give me something worth writing about.
Some articles are reviews. Others focus on a character or revisit an older movie. Sometimes I dig into a theory and see whether it holds up.
Welcome to CYBERPVNK
This site is for anyone who keeps thinking about a movie after the credits finish.
If science fiction tends to follow you home too, take a look around. You might find something worth reading.
Welcome to CYBERPVNK.
Daniel
